Escape to the new OASIS The Kitchen Lounge


 
A new upscale dining experience, OASIS The Kitchen Lounge, is welcoming diners in the Town Center space formerly occupied by Teriyaki Madness. The restaurant is a project that brought together several members of the Ave Maria and Naples areas.
The idea for OASIS kickstarted when Phong Ho, the owner of Ave Maria’s Tropical Smoothie the former Teriyaki Madness reached out to local restauranteur Michael Jaenvega, the owner of Martin Fierro Argentinean Steakhouse in Naples and the Martin Fierro With a Twist food truck.
Ave Maria locals will recognize the food truck as a frequent vendor at festivals and events, and a regular visitor at businesses around the town. OASIS The Kitchen Lounge now brings South American flair to a brick-and-mortar location in the heart of the Town Center.
Mr. Jaenvega is the mastermind behind OASIS’ diverse menu that includes South American flavors and dishes while incorporating a variety of options, including pasta, poke bowls, sandwiches, flatbreads, and filet and ribeye steaks. A full cocktail menu is also available.

Mr. Ho describes the restaurant as “a fun, vibrant, upscale concept with a mix of food.” He adds, “OASIS is called a kitchen because the eclectic menu will be constantly evolving with new choices and limited specials.”
For the decoration and atmosphere of OASIS, the two men looked to interior designer Jorge Arroyo. Arroyo is another member of the Ave Maria community who, along with his wife, Reina del Mar Torres, owns Hoja De Menta boutique.
Mr. Arroyo and Ms. Torres took inspiration from the restaurant’s name to make OASIS “a place where people can escape and have a good time and enjoy the ambience.” Various aspects of nature — the desert, rivers, the woods — are incorporated throughout the restaurant and bar area.
“It’s a concept that’s so beautiful and artistic that people will be awed when they walk in,” Mr. Ho says about the innovative interior design. The 2,500-square-foot restaurant seats approximately 95 patrons inside and has outdoor patio seating for up to 60 patrons.
 
Menu prices at OASIS are in the moderate to upper range, with steaks at $33.
